Green Card – Citizenship – Secret Clearance – Executive

"The Americanization" takes Martin's US life from immigrant with a Green Card status to US Citizenship to US Secret Clearance to Boeing Executive.

The first chapter tells the story of Vietnam, but it starts about my talking about the European Colonial powers.  While the US was very much feeling their way to Colonialism cutting their teeth on the War of the Spanish Succession, the big six countries - Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, Germany, France, and England – dominated the world.  Being a loser in a World War I or II tended to be terminal for colonial aspirations.  By 1946, most countries only owned holiday property – like Dutch ABC and St Maarten; Portugal’s Madeira and Lajes; Spain’s Canaries.  Germany had nowhere.   France wanted to recapture Indochina (Vietnam) and then there was the English Commonwealth managed by the Royal Navy, the last one standing.

This book adopts the same style of humor as Book 1 but speaks in the American-English language and spelling.

It covers four careers. Martin rapidly became a Vice President at Delex Systems where he led the tactics, training, and training systems business sector for the US Navy and 24 international countries. He then was recruited by McDonnell Douglas (later Boeing) where he designed and led the Harpoon Block II program which bought another 20 years missile production and provided factory workers with 20 years jobs.

After Boeing bought McDonnell Douglas, Martin became Head of all Missiles Business Development, then Head of Europe Business Development, before he retired to found his Consulting Company.
